North Park - Walking trail and fishing pond now open. Several Football and Baseball Fields.
The pond and walking trail improvements project is finished and is now open. Come out and enjoy the 1/2 mile walk around the trail. These improvements include:

1. 3,250 foot concrete walking trail.

2. Concrete parking lot with access to the pond, walking trail and soccer fields.

3. Enlargement of the pond from 1/4 to 3/4 acre, and the addition of a fountain.

4. Addition of a pavilion, bathrooms and promenade overlooking the pond.

5. Construction of two large bridges to cross the canal allowing access to the west side of the walking trail and soccer fields.

 

 

 
FRENCH SETTLEMENT HISTORICAL SOCIETY MUSEUM 
 The Creole House Museum is an authentic Creole cottage that features artifacts relating to the French heritage of the area.
Located on LA Hwy 16 in French Settlement behind the municipal building, the museum displays photographs and other records that document the history of the town. Also on display are early furniture, clothing, household items and other. The museum is open the fourth Sunday of each month from 1 p.m. - 4 p.m.  or by appointment. Admission is free. Spring Park - Denham Springs-This park is located on River Road in Denham Springs. There is a trail which leads to the spring and then to the Amite River.
